Year 13

What is Year 13?

Year 13 is a gap year program for young people finishing high school and stepping into the next season of life. Rather than rushing straight into university, a trade, or full-time work, Year 13 offers the opportunity to slow down and invest in something lasting. It is a year to be grounded in God’s word, to grow in love for Jesus, and to think carefully about what it means to live as a Christian in the world.

Throughout the year, participants will study the Bible, reflect on Christian life and ministry, and wrestle with theology, ethics, and discipleship in a relaxed and intentional environment. More than simply taking a year off, Year 13 is about taking a year to build strong foundations for life. It helps young people grow in spiritual maturity, wisdom, character, and conviction as they prepare for whatever lies ahead.

For many, this can become a deeply formative year, shaping not only the next step, but the kind of person they will become. It is an opportunity to invest one year for a lifetime of faithful Christian living, thoughtful decision-making, and wholehearted service to Christ.
